On April 24th, 2021,the badminton team of the trade union of SICL participated in the badmintonmatch held by CIIC Shanghai Trade Union Federation. This is to celebrate thecentenary anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and issupported by the superior trade union and the General Party Branch of SICL.
On the court, the 24 teams competed fiercely. The match was sointense that excited players all brought out their “killer” skills: high serve,low serve, smash, drop shot, net shot and many more in front of theenthusiastic cheering crowd. During the match, the badminton team of SICL tradeunion fully demonstrated the sportsmanship of “solidarity, fraternity,persistence and resilience”. For a moment, the match was super fluid when competingteams were close rivals; but later the match turned out to be a hard-foughtbattle when one team was falling behind its opponent. Sometimes, it was a “tugof war” when difference was tight; some other times, “a miraculous comeback”until a huge gap of points was wiped out. The match fully demonstrated SICLemployees’ “optimism and an indomitable will for success”.
This activity not only enhances employees’ physical strengths andteam solidarity, but builds up a bridge of communication between the Partybranches and trade unions of all levels under SICL and CIIC and deepens our mutualunderstanding. No doubt, it bolds well for more diverse cultural and sportsexchange activities organized by the SICL trade union.
