On October 17, SICL Shenzhen held a team building activity under the theme of ‘walking into Lianhua Mountain and paying homage to the great man Deng Xiaoping’ to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.

All the staff of SICL Shenzhen first came to take a group photo in front of the tree planted by General Secretary Xi Jinping in Lianhua Mountain Park. The alpine banyan was planted by Xi Jinping on December 8, 2012. The tree which was 3 meters tall at that time has grown to 10 meters tall, with deep roots and lush foliage. As a native tree in Lingnan Region, the alpine banyan has been a symbol of good fortune, hope and vitality since ancient times because of its luxuriant foliage and gracefulness.

Afterwards, after an hour’s hike, all the staff climbed to the top of Lianhua Mountain to pay homage to the statue of Deng Xiaoping in the plaza at the top, recalling the great achievements of the chief architect of China’s socialist reform, opening up and modernization, and expressing great respect and nostalgia for the great man who changed the destiny of China.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, staff’s ardent love for the Party and the motherland and the enthusiasm for entrepreneurship were stimulated, and the team cohesion was enhanced after the activity.
